Oasis of style and tranquilty
Hi, we are family of five plus two dogs and a cat. Eight years ago when we moved to Bohinjska Bela we have spoted an old abandoned house not far away from our home. The house was build and owned by the railways since 1906. When the Slovenian railways decided to sell it we just knew that that is the moment that our dream of having our own Hostel is coming of true.We have decided to renew the house with a help from Trash Design, Slovenian architects and interior designers. The name "2nd Station Hostel" aplays to location of the house being next to station , reuse of old furniture designed by legendary Slovenian designers and made in legendary factories and the renovated house which was used as a home for railway workers . So we are trying to give a new life for the house and a second life, the second station for the pieces building its interior. (And of course we are 2nd station from Bled, the jewel of the Alps.)As you see we are sensible about the history and the tradition.

By train – Station Bohinjska Bela
2nd Station Hostel is located about 200 m from the train station "Bohinjska Bela" which is served regularly by the trains of the national carrier Slovenske železnice. Coming from Austria or Ljubljana you have to change trains in Jesenice, coming from Italy you can go directly from Nova Gorica / Gorizia. During weekends there is a direct train from Ljubljana in the morning.Check the website of Slovenske železnice for national trains or ÖBB Scotty for international connections.
By bus – Stop Bohinjska Bela vojašnica
Just a few seconds from the entrance door of 2n Station Hostel you find the bus stop which is served very frequently in directions of Bled, Kranj and Ljubljana as well as Bohinjska Bistrica and Lake Bohinj. Check connections on the website of the bus-operator Arriva and live positions of the buses on brezavta.siBus connections can also be found on Google Maps (no live data)
By plane – Ljubljana Airport
From Ljubljana Airport you can take the Bus to Bohinjska Bela. The buses go frequently, the travel time is about 1:30 hours.
